Demolition, tile setting, cabinetry installation, and flooring are all self-performed; those are the trades that decide how a remodel turns out, and they stay in-house on every project. Electrical and plumbing are handled by licensed subcontractors Jonathan has worked beside for years, scheduled around the crew's own sequence so the job keeps moving. Jonathan is on site running the work, and clients have his cell for the length of the project.

How do payments work?

In three phases tied to progress, a structure clients call out in reviews because it protects both sides. A phase is invoiced only after its work is standing, so the money always trails the build, never the other way around. The estimate itself is written and itemized line by line, and the price we quote is the price you pay. Larger whole-home projects are staged the same way, phase by phase, so you always know exactly what has been completed and what comes next.

How long does a remodel take?

Typical ranges: a full bathroom runs 2–4 weeks on site, a kitchen 4–8 weeks, and whole-home projects 6–12 weeks depending on scope and layout changes. The single biggest schedule variable is materials, so demolition does not start until everything for your project is on hand. From there the schedule is sequenced around our own crew rather than a rotation of trades, and you review the progress yourself at a weekly walkthrough. You will have a written schedule before the first hammer swings.

Are you licensed and insured?

Electrical and plumbing are performed by licensed subcontractors, and Artigiano carries the registrations required by each municipality we work in, across the west suburbs from Hinsdale to Naperville, plus the City of Chicago. Documentation for your specific project comes standard with the proposal, before any work begins.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. Where scope requires it, from structural changes to new circuits and plumbing relocations, we prepare the application, file it with your municipality, and manage inspections through final sign-off. That covers the village building departments across the west and southwest suburbs, Hinsdale to Orland Park, as well as the City of Chicago's Department of Buildings, each with its own process and timelines we already know. Permit costs appear as line items in the estimate, and permitted work does not start until the permit is issued.
